In search of lost time

Reflecting the past inhabiting the present, visualizing the future…

Old timers:
the horse is only on the picture from the past, the shade seen on left side suggests an extension of horse neck, the church is only on the picture from today, we see building on the picture and a cross from today’s world, the old timers photo shows a continuation of a Time.

Old Jew:
is reading (framed) a book, a musician (not framed) is playing the accordion, the camera lens is focused on the house in the background. The picture tells a story of the old-world, now gone, and is dedicated to a friend of mine, Henry Sattler, holocaust survivor.

La belle époque:
It was an époque of beautiful clothes and the peak of luxury living for select few – the very rich and very privileged through birth. In retrospect we can see it is an era very separate from the 20th Century.

Turin shroud (triptych):
of Turin is a centuries old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man.
A man that millions believe to be Jesus of Nazareth. Is it really the clouth that wrapped his crucified body!

Phantom of liberty:
After the political break down in Poland, in 1989 the headquarters of the Communist Party (building in photography) became the home of the Polish Stock Exchange. Time has created a phantom of liberty. The title of this photo speaks for itself.
